IDrive e2の10GB無料枠廃止と完全有料化
S3互換のクラウドストレージサービス「IDrive e2」は10GBの無料枠を廃止し、完全有料サービスとなりました。
IDrive e2とは？
IDrive e2は、米国のIDrive Inc.が提供するS3互換のクラウドストレージサービスです。
日本ではあまり有名ではありませんが、100TB超えの超大容量ストレージを非常に低コストで保存することができ、当サイトでも10TBが月額3000円台の最安サービスとして紹介しています。
無料枠の廃止と完全有料化
IDriveは、2023年4月上旬に現在の無料枠10GBを廃止し、IDrive e2を完全な有料サービスに変更しました。
公式サイト等でアナウンスはありませんが、利用者にはその旨をメールで通知しています。
また、公式サイトの内容も更新済みとなります。
メールによると、無料枠の利用者は7日間の試用プランに移行済みであり、試用プランの有効期限が切れると、ストレージにアクセス不能となります。

We have made changes to IDrive® e2 plans and the free 10 GB storage is being discontinued. To optimize our resources and provide improved services, we have discontinued our free 10 GB offer and replaced it with a 7-day trial that includes 1 TB of storage. Free trial plans are common among cloud storage service providers and IDrive® e2 is now following the same model.
Your IDrive® e2 account will expire on 18th April 2023.
To ensure continued usage, you need to upgrade. IDrive® e2 continues to offer cost-effective S3-compatible cloud storage plans starting from $40.00/year $4.00 first year for 1 TB.
Once the account expires, you will no longer be able to access your storage.
